Was their marriage doomed to fail? Kasey wondered if Jordan Caine was entirely honest when he said he'd married her in good faith. He claimed he wanted a wife to act as hostess, to manage his home and to warm his bed. He hadn't mentioned that it was also to quench his desire for his brother's wife. Yet how could Kasey accuse Jordan of dishonorable motives when her own reasons for becoming Mrs. Jordan Caine were hardly admirable. Then Kasey complicated matters by falling in love with her new husband, despite not knowing how Jordan really felt about it all!
