BOURBON STREET BLUES She was a jazz singer, come to New Orleans to learn the facts about the mother she so resembled-and had never known. Fate led Annie Duprez to Bourbon Street and into the arms of Jake St. Arnold, drummer, architect and part owner of the club where her mother once sang. It was black magic from the first, a fiery encounter that terrified her with its intensity; its abandon. Yet the past hung over them, an unanswered question with the power to force them apart. Did Annie have the strength to face the truth, even if it meant losing the man she loved?
