This publication presents part of the results of the research project entitled "San Francisco de Borja de Fontilles Sanatorium: analysis model for the comprehensive recovery of health complexes of heritage value," financed by the State Program for research, development and innovation aimed at challenges of society, the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, which aims to develop, taking the Sanitarium of Fontilles as a model, a comprehensive methodology of interpretation and enhancement of our historical heritage, both material and immaterial. The project has tried to reconstruct the architectural history of Fontilles, its image, the disappeared spaces, reinterpret its landscape; In short, your assets. It is a proposal aimed at preserving the deep memory of this type of space, a heritage that is present in its material image, in architecture and in the landscape, but that transcends it.
