(From Cover) To out-of-work actress Abby Stevens, helping Charles Bradbury to get his revenge on Lance Lazenby, who had ruined his daughter's life, was just a job to tide her over - though seeing what the Lazenby man had done to poor tragic Sarah Bradbury made her determined to help bring him to justice. But it all backfired on her when she realised that she had fallen in love with Lance - who, she had to keep reminding herself, was utterly without scruples and wouldn't hesitate to ruin her life too, if it suited him!
