It is truly the first philosophy of feminism, the first psychology of the feminist experience. Daly's book goes far beyond other key works of the movement to describe a radical feminist's possible ways of being in a patriarchal world, the kinds of spaces and boundaries she will occupy, the problems of language, memory, relation she will encounter. The publication of Beyond God the Father is a milestone in the movement toward human liberation. - Adrienne Rich, on back cover.
