He should have been impossible to love-- He was overbearing and insufferable! Yet, when Brittania met Professor Luitingh van Thien who came to her hospital as a visiting consultant surgeon, she promptly fell in love with him! So, when the professor went back to Holland, Britannia followed him. There she met the beautiful and sophisticated Madeleine de Venz, who would, apparently, make a much better wife for the professor. Or would she?
