Even wet, exhausted and bedraggled, Fiorenzo Veronese is threatening. Suzy Carlini shudders to think what his reaction will be if he discovers the woman who pulled him out of a Venice canal one cold night is a private detective. If he suspects she's been shadowing and reporting his every move ... Bringing Fiorenzo back to her apartment is dangerous, but a perfect way to keep tabs on him. She's been hired to prove he's a ruthless blackmailer. Which certainly explains why she trembles in the arms of a man who claims he always gets what he wants....
