Elizabeth and Jackson Shore married young and raised two daughters, but when the girls leave home, Jack and Elizabeth find themselves in a relationship that has lost its spark. They begin to wonder about roads not taken. When Jack is offered his dream job, Elizabeth puts her own needs aside and follows him across the country. Once there, she feels lost and empty, missing her cottage by the sea on the Oregon coast. Then a family tragedy makes her question her life - and she chooses to reach out for the woman she wants to be.
