Seven years ago, Zoe had been desperately in love with the painter Rory Ormond, but he had callously ended their affair. Since then, Zoe had made a new life for herself, but now, it seemed, another young girl was in danger of being hurt by Rory. But not if Zoe could help it! And she had to admit that there would be a certain satisfaction in thwarting Rory's plans! She was quite confident — until she met Rory again and realised, with a racing heart, that his attraction was as powerful as ever. She was treading a dangerous path...and Rory seemed to relish the challenge!
