Audiovisual culture is essential to construct and interpret fictional worlds in literature and the Spanish cinema of the nineties, framing the urban cultural background of a disenchanted youth. This book aims to understand visual culture as a major discourse at the end of the millennium, capable of filling in gaps left by an era known for utopian values and low expectations, the result of the questioning of epistemological and ontological foundations of the past.
