"The studies that configure Elogio de lo mínimimo address the relationship between micro-story and digital environment. They contribute, thus, within the framework of flowering of the TIC, to the analysis of the consolidation and the proliferation of the microrrelato in diverse digital supports, especially in web pages, digital magazines, social networks, etc. Likewise, the micro-story is delimited in a conceptual way, differentiating it from the mini-fiction and the non-literary virtual microtexts, and the changes that the incorporation to the digital world has introduced both in the textual production and in the processes of reception and diffusion of the gender are studied, as well as the systematization of the theoretical-critical apparatus of the micro-story in the theory of literary genres. Finally, these investigations highlight the mechanisms that exploit the possibilities generated by the hypertext construction and the reading conditions required by the micro-story in the network, since electronic media do not guarantee the transformation of literary transmission processes themselves when there is the possibility of transferring to the screen the linear approaches typical of the culture of the printing press." --Translated from back cover
