"The texts that make up this edition are based on investigations between the microhistory and the Empire. One of its virtues is that as a whole they show the deep unity which existed throughout the territories of the Spanish monarchy. From different disciplines, such as literature, religious history, social history and history of art, the topics studied show the diversity of approaches that it is possible to study the devotions and festive rituals with religious means, showing at the same time, the possibilities and the limits proposed by the case studies."
