Sami Adkinson has arranged her life so that for the most part she can cope with her many fears. But one day she was faced with a fear so awful she knew she would never be able to cope. In a blind panic, she instinctively spots the only man in the room who she knew could help her, Daniel Parker-St. James, a powerful attorney. In a blind panic, she raced across the room and threw herself into his arms. Daniel caught her. Daniel didn't mix his personal life with his professional life, but what else could he do but take her home with him. Over the next days and nights, he watched her battle demons she wouldn't name, and when she finally came to his bed, he slid right into love with her. Sami kept her secrets from Daniel, knowing he wouldn't love her anymore if he knew them. Still she found she couldn't leave him. So she allowed the days and nights with him to flow, one into the other until the day came when she knew she could no longer keep her secrets from him.
