Lovely Gytha Sullivan learns on her grandfather's death she will inherit a huge fortune with the Devil's choice of marriage to one of her detestable cousins. Desperately Gytha begs Lord Locke, a dauntingly handsome country neighbor, to help her. Because Gytha's father saved his life, he agrees to an ingenious charade. Make-believe turns to tender love, but the Cousins are not yet defeated and kidnap Gytha! It is only a question of seconds as to whether she can be saved.
