WAS IT JUST FOR THE CHILDREN'S SAKE? Rae Pascal -- banking executive and widowed mother of two boys -- knew her sons needed a strong male influence in their lives. The influence of a man like Nick McKenzie... She'd met Nick because of his son, Kevin, a British exchange student living with the Pascal family. But there was a definite coolness between father and son, despite the fact that Nick got along so well with her two boys. Rae wanted to help Nick and Kevin grow closer. And she needed his help with her own children. But more and more, the independent, superefficient Rae Pascal wanted Nick McKenzie for herself.
