Had she cut herself off from life--and love? Vanessa Davies considered herself a very responsible person. Hadn't she put aside her own musical ambitions to care for her younger brother after their parents' death? Hadn't she established a successful catering business--and a pleasant, orderly life for herself and sixteen-year-old Mark? But Mark's idol, rock musician Rick Seymour, saw Vanessa's life as narrow and rigid, a waste of her talent. And told her so. Furious, Vanessa retorted that he was the one wasting his skills. She'd heard him play the church organ, so she knew he was capable of "real" music... .
