When the kindly old owner of Marbeck Manor died, Kathryn Ramsey was convinced that the new American heir would be a brash, unappreciative man. His unexpected arrival coincided with a wild party at the Manor with an uninvited guest ridiculing him, and Kathryn found herself trying to convince John Hyland that she was not the brash, irresponsible person he now assumed her to be.
