"Bilingual catalog of the exhibition-tribute to the artist (who died in 1985), held to commemorate 10th anniversary of his death. Includes essay by Jaime Moreno Villarreal explaining Nieto's work and influences, from Dubuffet to Picasso. However, as with most artists from Nieto's generation, the strongest influence, particularly during his last 10 years, is one not mentioned here - Tamayo himself. Lavishly illustrated in color with complete checklist and short biography"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
