Commemorative edition honoring the 100th death anniversary of graphic artist José Guadalupe Posada (b. Mexico 1851-1913). This volume examines different lines of research that, over Posada and his work, have been developed in recent years from different perspectives, The texts allow simultaneously to explore his biography and to contextualize the aesthetic value and engraving techniques of his graphic production, highlight his religious iconography, the political caricature of the 19th century and the influece of outstanding European artists like Mariano Fortunay and Francisco de Goya.
