When lovely Kitty Leyburne and young Kit de Fleming got engaged, they had never before set eyes on each other. Suddenly, their whole lives were set out before them, and they didn't like it one bit. But to all their relatives, it was the perfect marriage. Kitty had the money. And Kit had the title. This meant Kit had to give up his mistress. And Kitty, her fantasy soldier. The engagement did not go smoothly. Not at all. Not until they found themselves in dire peril did they truly discover each other.
