"Descriptive history of evangelical Protestants from their first failed efforts to their participation in the 1991 Constitutional Assembly. Author, an English missionary who became a Colombian citizen, omits discussion of groups not 'clearly evangelical' such as Seventh Day Adventists and United Pentecostal Church. Pioneering work on a movement of growing importance"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
