A happy family spends a year in the south of France; wife, however, suspect that this is the last of her marriage when reading the novel secretly writing by her husband. In her encounters Lourdes flights of her life dangerously resemble reality: the same marital disputes, the same friends through the years and even the ghostly appearance of Gloria, an old love of her husband she thought was buried long. The questions are triggered: Lourdes lives a novel or a falsely interpreted fictional reality ?, Who are the real members of this family ?, Is anyone else willing to tell a truth contrary to that of novelist ?, Are Lourdes and husband characters while Eugene and Gloria live happily in France ?, Novelist confuses reality with fiction? Streaky to marital history, we review chronic novelist and his generation. What became of them thirty years later? Who triumphed, who are happy? What books written, which have been forgotten? The author of The Woman Novelist covers the literary life of his group, and his memory crumbles fable at will, even if over a deadline and a marriage to capsize.
