In these short stories, Benavides offers us an intelligent look at the genre of suspense. Through his narrative skill and command of the genre, he uses his subject matters to sketch the different faces of fear while exposing reality as we understand and accept it. Yet, what is reality? Through anomalous events of daily lives, a great narrative technique, and an always critical and ironic sense of humor, the author sets the premise for feverish and delirious scenes.
