From the family history of Rafael, his son Álex and his granddaughter Soledad Barrett, the work proposes a journey through the utopias and political defeats of the South American continent in the 20th century. The text transits through the biographical story, written from interviews, letters and family memories, and history and period chronicles, documented through a rigorous investigation into police and judicial archives, truth commissions and the press of Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay.
