After a stellar career with the FBI, a superior's decision resulted in a child's death and the disastrous results were pinned on Ryan, costing his reputation and job. Embittered, he was prepared to remain cut off and floating without purpose--that is until Special Agent Vivian Grace shows up at his door with a letter from a Devoted Fan, bent on restoring his reputation. A child has been kidnapped and the kidnapper will only deal with Ex-Special Agent McBride, but there's a hitch -- the kidnapper is using McBride's & Grace's darkest secrets against them and time is running out for the victims.
