"Several Haitian commandos take strategic points in the Dominican Republic by surprise, including some bases, two airports, a television radio channel and a hotel full of tourists. And what at first seems like a desperate and almost suicidal action, will become an elaborate network with international implications. In parallel, the story of Toussaint Louverture and the revolution of the slaves at the end of the 18th century are narrated, establishing a certain parallelism between the past and present with a common goal: to dignify the existence of a people."
