Presented here is a monographic study on the sculptural work of Pablo Serrano (Crivillén, Teruel, 1908 – Madrid, 1985). Based on letters and writings about his work, the book announces ideas that Serrano expressed about the art of his time as well as the preparations and questions he had to undertake before beginning a piece: how it was documented, what it suggested about the people it portrayed, what philosophical-humanistic values it would transmit, and consequently what visual language it utilized.
