The exhibition was part of the National Homages program to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Pedro Nel Gómez, one of the most representative Colombian artists of the 20th century. His multifaceted legacy includes architectural works, mural and easel painting, watercolors, drawings and sculptures, modalities in which his talent. His work is mainly about the history and the social and political problems of the country, as well as about the customs and beliefs of the Antioquia culture.
