"The poetry of Norberto James (born in the Consuelo Ingenuity in 1945, within a working class with roots in Jamaica, Trinidad, St. Kitts and the southern United States) faces the daunting constant epochal materialism rampant, which displaces the original character of resister and transformation of poetry. And, like the ancient art of the griot - rapporteurs of West Africa - his admirable production can be read as a tester of a memory." --Translated from back cover.
