The work includes national industry numbers, an interpretation of interviews conducted with industrial entrepreneurs in the mid-1990s and in 2015, and the complete transcript of these interviews. The author explained that the work seeks to demonstrate how it is possible to exist, grow, be competitive and progress as an industrialist in an open economy: "In an economy lacking any kind of protectionism, lacking an industrial development strategy and a high degree of predominance of primary and commercial-import production."
