Camilo Ballesta, the young star of the violent song, is injured, and crosses the arid landscapes of Baja California, in the Mexican northwest, seeking refuge. Who wanted to kill him and why? So far he has come, like so many others, chasing the American dream. Concerned about the lack of news, in Trujillo, Peru, his mother languishes among letters, regrets and memories. Pushed by her, her father will try to go in his footsteps, and in that way, while all the blind spots that have shaped her son's life will be revealed, she will also discover her own destiny.
