She had come to Rock Island to complete a series of articles about North Pacific lighthouses. Instead of his brother, the lighthouse keeper, here was Professor Lyle Hemming, Don Juan of the university coeds. Lyle Hemming was the kind of man she despised, so she was dismayed when a storm marooned her on the isolated rock with him.
