Sixteen plays by controversial but important 20th century Mexican writer, originally published between 1957 and 2005. Garro reveals hypocrisies of Mexican society, marginalization of women and other injustices. Includes essay critiquing Garro's theatrical work, its relationship to her life and her contributions to stage and film. Although three other versions of Garro's complete plays have been published, this edition remedies previous errors and documentation and is intended to represent definitive edition.
