WHO DID THE MYSTERIOUS BEACHCOMBER THINK SHE WAS? Mariette met him on a deserted beach and was unable to forget the passion he had roused in her. But at least her role as "Julie Long" in a local theater production helped to keep her mind off him--until opening night. Suddenly, her beachcomber was revealed as millionaire Hartley McPhail--the author of the play -- and he intended to play opposite her that very night! Their love scenes sizzled, but was it because he loved Mariette or because he still remembered the real Julie Long--the girl who could have been Mariette's double!
