**The corpse arrived C.O.D.** ...and the homespun sleuth, Asey Mayo, that dry humorous Codfish Sherlock, was faced with an odd assortment of clues that seemed to lead everywhere--except to the murderer! • A stranger skulking in the dunes • A red wig • A disappearing politician • A tiny potted cactus hidden in a lobster pot The whole thing was plumb crazy, and before Asey got to the bottom of things, he had smashed up his new custom-built car, lost a very dead body, and been severely biffed on the head with a gun butt!
