Truly mismatched... Lucas Montieth, Earl of Kelsey, was simply being polite when he promised to take Lord Wrexton's sister into his household. Unfortunately, the lady in question is none other than the ton 's infamous matchmaker, "Aunt Clare,"—and when they last crossed paths, Lucas barely escaped with his bachelorhood. This time, after announcing that she has found Lucas' "true love," namely Miss Georgetta Thompson—Clare disappears without a trace. Before he knows it, Lucas has joined Georgetta herself in search of the mischievous old minx—only to discover his own unexpected desire. ...Or a match made in heaven? Though in mourning for her father's death, Georgetta is feeling truly alive for the very first time. She couldn't be less interested in Aunt Clare's romantic scheming, for marriage would only hinder her quest for adventure...or would it? When Clare mysteriously vanishes, Georgie finds herself looking for clues, side by side with the handsome—albeit arrogant—Lucas Montieth. The whirlwind pursuit of Clare and her captors satisfies Georgie's thirst for thrills—but she soon realizes that only Lucas can answer the demands of her heart.
