Could love exist without trust? Kathryn had been joyously anticipating her wedding to Rex Kingersby... until she found him in bed with his secretary - a mere week before their wedding ! Horrified, she returns his ring. But Kathryn's action prompts Rex to get drunk and he's then involved in a car crash that sees him in hospital, comatose and in a full body cast. Now she's stuck! Being a typical 'self-sacrificial' heroine, Rex's injuries prevent her from telling his family the truth behind her refusal to go through with the wedding; in short, she hasn't the heart to let his family see the type of man Rex is. Result ? Kathryn comes off as the 'bad guy' in this scenario, accused of callously jilting Rex! Nate Kingersby, Rex's older brother, vows revenge on what he thinks is Kathryn's cruelty and coldness; he regards her action as an insult to his brother and family---and he's going to make her pay...
