In May 1992, investigative reporter and grief-stricken father George Lardner, Jr. began his own pursuit of the truth after his daughter, Kristin, was savagely murdered by her ex-boyfriend following months of abuse. What he exposes in his findings is a scathing indictment of the legal system's failure to protect her, as well as the series of events that led to her brutal death, in this heartbreaking true crime account. Eight-page photo insert.
