Nearly seventy-five years ago, Winnie-the-Pooh came down the stairs, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head behind Christopher Robin and right into the hearts of generations of readers. Now, at long last, two of A. A. Milne's beloved tales about the endearingly rotund bear are available as individual, large-format picture books. Each one includes a single, complete story from the originals, accompanied by Ernest H. Shepard's incomparable drawings presented in brilliant full-color. Here, readers will find Pooh's legendary encounter with a hive of bees as he attempts to get honey with a balloon, as well as Tigger's first appearance in the forest and his unforgettable search for breakfast. Featuring cloth spines, foil stamping, headbands, and colored endpapers, these exceptional books carry all the hallmarks of classics to collect and treasure. Timeless and traditional in design, yet with a lively, fresh look for today's readers, they are sure to delight Pooh fans of all ages--whether on their first visit to Our Bear's Enchanted Forest or their hundredth.
