No man could conquer her spirit, but one man would win her heart… When Gwynllion Ramsey’s father, Baron Ramsey, dies, she finds herself a ward of King William II. Held captive in the ruthless court of the King, she awaits her fortune in the towers of Ramsay Castle. But when she learns that her fate lies in the hands of the highest bidder, Gwyn makes a daring escape and embarks on a perilous journey to her ancestral home in Wales. Escaping the confines of the King’s warped scheme, Gwyn finds herself travelling with Welsh tribesmen, a welcome from the savage Normans she was running from. But it is not long before the King’s men catch up with her and she runs straight into the arms of Rhys Llewellyn, the handsome Welsh lord and fabled Norman conqueror. Yet unable to respond to Gwyn as he so desires, Rhys confides in his close ally, Caerleon, with devastating consequences… Separated by the treacherous battlefields of love and war, the Lord of the West and the fiery red-head risk everything for a love that will not die.
