Catalogue with a selection of works by Álvaro Oyarzún (Paris 1960) accompanied with critical texts. "El autodidacta [The Self-Taught], the title of this book, is also the name of a few projects I've been working on the last 20 years. These projects have the distinctive quality of constituting themselves into a collection of painting and drawing series developing the most diverse themes, with the idea of forming a proliferation of small fragments unfolding in the walls of an exhibition space." --Page [7].
