In the framework of the 125th anniversary of the Salesian presence in the Peru, the Salesian Congregation presents the book written by the historian David Franco Cordova on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the start of the construction of this Marian Temple. This publication describes chronologically the major events that marked the history of this church, from the placement of the first stone; its inauguration as part of the celebrations of the centenary of the national independence, to the most important events in 2016. Includes old images and a timeline that graph the first 100 years of the Church, landmark of the Republican religious architecture of Lima. In 1962 the temple was designated as a minor basilica by Pope John XXIII.
