Clothing, dress and fashion in Buenos Aires from the colonial period until the fall of Rosas (1852). Dressing was often a declaration of principles especially at times when not only was it necessary to be revolutionary but also to appear it. The discursive changes in the historical conjunctures, for our ancestors, were translated into a fascinating world of shapes, textiles and colors placed at the service of political ideas. This book, without claiming to be exhaustive, shows from the iconography, the stories of travelers and the investigation of testamentaries, the mosaic of clothing.
