Monguí is a town and municipality in Boyacá Department, Colombia. "The collective "Fotograma" For this occasion, he proposes a material where photography is again thought of as a device for memorial recording and from its representative capacity, as a mirror with a memory of national reality and geographical location. The Colectivo visited the municipality of Monguí, in the department of Boyacá, located at 2,800 meters above sea level. An emblematic municipality for its architecture built with river stones, colonial houses, green and humid landscapes, and for the peasant practices that are carried out in the territory. "Photographic views of the daily life and landscape of Monguí, Boyacá" is the result of a fieldwork, where the photographers immerse themselves in the privacy of the locals and the territories that border the municipality, which allowed the development of an ethnographic-visual work that breaks the known imaginaries of the municipality, offering a new vision of the place from the photographic subjectivity of the authors. Likewise, the images of this publication reflect situations associated with the aesthetics of the natural landscape, the textures of the mountains, the daily practices and the profiles of the locals, which consequently makes it possible to bring the reader-spectator of this publication closer to issues of social dimensions defined in frames of otherness and culture."--Verso Cover.
