A DANGEROUS LIAISON . . . — — Miss Diana Brown did what any impoverished beauty would do: She looked for a rich husband. Unfortunately, the one she found was a portly old miser who she couldn't bear to kiss. Worse, no sooner had Diana accepted his suit than she fell in love . . . with the dashing Earl of Woodham, who valiantly rescued her from thieving highwaymen just like a hero from a novel. What was a lady betrothed to one man and in a swoon over another to do...? A PERILOUS DESIRE . . . Resort to murder? Never! But a poisoned kipper had just finished off her bridegroom, leaving Diana suspected of the crime! Could an innocent miss clear her good name and land the biggest catch of the Upper Ten Thousands: The irresistible Earl of Woodham? Only by risking her pride, her future, her very life and, most of all, her heart. MISSING PGS. 176-177, 2 COPIES OF PGS. 180-181
